Award-Winning Filmmaker Dela Finn Sparks Conversations on Drug Abuse with Upcoming Film RED PILLS

Dela Finn is an internationally acclaimed filmmaker, graphic designer, and brand manager whose creative journey has been defined by bold storytelling, cultural relevance, and social impact. Since venturing into filmmaking in 2015, he has steadily carved a distinct identity within the cinematic space, first capturing attention through compelling non-verbal short films that demonstrated the universal power of visual storytelling beyond words. Over the years, he has evolved into a multifaceted creative — a scriptwriter, film director, and music video director — committed to telling stories that resonate deeply with society.
His body of work includes notable productions such as Bound To Be, ELORM, Dear Dad, and ABUSED — a socially conscious short film that earned international recognition at the prestigious Marano Ragazzi Spot Film Festival in 2020. His films have since been screened at various film festivals across the globe, further establishing his voice as one that transcends borders and speaks to universal human experiences.

Today, Dela Finn stands at the forefront of yet another important conversation through his latest short film project, RED PILLS. The film confronts the growing issue of substance abuse among today’s youth and sheds light on the devastating psychological and emotional consequences associated with it. Inspired by the alarming rise of disturbing drug-related incidents and videos circulating across social media platforms, he chose to once again use cinema as a tool for awareness, reflection, and change.
“Film has always been more than entertainment to me,” Dela Finn explains. “It is a mirror to society, a voice for the unheard, and a force capable of sparking conversations that many are often afraid to have.”
In a deliberate move to preserve authenticity and raw emotion within the film, Dela Finn assembled a cast of promising emerging talents whom he believed possessed untapped potential capable of delivering powerful performances under the right direction. The film features Jessica Kassah, Gertrude Bubune, Constancia Adorvlo, Efo Kodjo, Leo Lyrixs, Joy Danku, Arnold Wailer, Yaa Flora, and Keeny Ice — all carefully selected to bring realism and emotional depth to the story. RED PILLS is executive produced by SYNNA®.

The official premiere of RED PILLS is scheduled for May 30, 2026, at THE UNDERBRIDGE Event Centre. Beyond the premiere, discussions are currently underway with a distribution company to ensure the film reaches wider audiences both locally and internationally.
As anticipation builds toward the premiere, Dela Finn extends an open invitation to the public, stakeholders, creatives, and all advocates for youth development to be part of this important moment.

“This is more than a film premiere,” he says. “It is a call for awareness, dialogue, and collective responsibility. Drug abuse is no longer an issue confined to the streets or forgotten communities; it is gradually finding its way into ordinary homes and affecting lives silently. We must confront it together, educate one another, share experiences, and protect the future of our youth.”
Through RED PILLS, Dela Finn once again reaffirms his commitment to creating cinema that not only entertains, but also enlightens, challenges, and inspires society toward meaningful change.
