Africa Monologue Challenge Season 3 Returns To Ghana As Host Nation
The organizers of the Africa Monologue Challenge (AMC), Mawuko Kuadzi (MK), the renowned two-time Artios Award winner and visionary behind the competition, together with the jury and team have officially announced a change of venue for the highly anticipated third season of the competition.
The announcement was made through a post on the official Africa Monologue Challenge social media platforms.
Originally scheduled to take place in Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) the home country of the season 2 winner, Season 3 of the Pan-African acting competition will now be hosted in Ghana due to unforeseen challenges affecting the planned venue. The change marks a return to the country that hosted the inaugural edition of the event.
A Platform for Pan-African Talent
Powered by MK Casting, the Africa Monologue Challenge has established itself as one of the continent’s most exciting platforms for discovering and nurturing acting talent. The competition invites actors from across Africa and beyond to showcase their abilities through monologue performances while promoting the ideals of Pan-Africanism.
The challenge begins with thousands of submissions from aspiring performers. From these entries, 50 actors are selected to participate in a series of online elimination rounds. Through successive monologue challenges, contestants are narrowed down until only the finalists remain.
For Season 3, organizers have announced an increase in the number of finalists, expanding the group from 10 to 12 contestants. The finalists will be housed together for several weeks, during which they will undergo training, mentorship, and additional challenges before performing at the grand finale.
The eventual winner will receive prizes as well as a valuable production deal, providing a significant opportunity to advance their acting career.
A Growing Pan-African Legacy
Since its inception, the Africa Monologue Challenge has reflected the diversity and unity of the African creative industry.
The first season, hosted in Ghana, was won by Rachael Nduhukire from Uganda. The second season, hosted in Uganda, saw Maud Guerard from Côte d’Ivoire emerge as the winner.
The movement of the competition across different African nations has reinforced its commitment to cultural exchange, collaboration, and the celebration of talent beyond borders.
