REFFA 2026: Regal Film Festival and Awards Opens Submissions for Second Edition
The Regal Film Festival and Awards (REFFA) has officially opened submissions for its second edition, following a successful maiden event held in December last year at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Accra Ghana. Film submissions are open from 5th January to 3rd August, inviting filmmakers to submit eligible works for consideration for this year’s REFFA event.
REFFA’s debut edition positioned the festival as a growing platform for Ghanaian film and African cinema, drawing participation from filmmakers, creatives, and industry stakeholders. Building on that foundation, the upcoming edition aims to broaden its scope while strengthening opportunities for visibility, recognition, and industry engagement.
During the maiden edition, awards were presented across several competitive categories under Achievement in, Best, and Most Promising classifications. These categories recognized excellence in technical craft, performance, and overall production.
